GreenPower Trap-Muffler™ System
Technical Product Information
System Schematic
Our GreenPower Trap-Muffler™ System is an active DPF (diesel particulate filter) system combined with a low-pressure cooled EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system under our US patent #5,085,049. Developed by Dr. Julius Rim, the technology has been further perfected under a new US patent #6,892,531.

A fuel borne catalyst (FBC) is added to the diesel fuel as well as engine oil system and a small amount of cooled exhaust gas is recirculated, and optionally through a water based EGR Accumulator in the exhaust system.
Emission Performance
Emissions tests conducted at the Japan Automotive Research Institute (JARI) in Tokyo, Japan showed a 90% reduction in PM and over 50% reduction in NOx. The tests were run on a Mitsubishi KC-FU510UZ 12 liter turbo diesel truck.

Water in the EGR Accumulator was consumed in the engine combustion process at the ratio of 15-20% of fuel. In spite of a high level of water consumption, no engine power loss was detected.
Example Systems
