Job Description
Provide resident technical engineering support for a major diesel OEM in Illinois for all regulations (ongoing 2007, US 2010, US Tier IV off road regulations, other world wide regulations as necessary). This position will help manage technical programs including the catalyst technology recommendations, catalyst samples, test programs, data analysis, FMEA’s, DVP&R’s, production launch support and ongoing technical service. This position will work closely with the Account Managers, R&D, BASF Engine Test facilities and the customer base to develop optimum after treatment catalyst solutions and integrate our catalyst technologies into the customer’s engine platforms. Travel required: may average up to 20% of the work week.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in engineering or closely related field with 5-10 years experience in technical service or related fields. Requires strong technical skills, with knowledge of engine and after treatment catalyst design, operation and testing. Knowledge of heavy duty diesel applications a plus. Individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with others externally and internally at all levels.
