Purpose of Position: Support project development and production teams

Major Responsibilities:

  • Plan, co-ordinate and perform required activities in quality control to ensure continuous production and release of products consistent with established standards.
  • Responsible to monitor process control and suggest improvement to processes to ensure products meet specification.
  • Implement 5S and continuous improvement.
  • Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures and forms.
  • Provide supervision and training to QC auditors and inspectors.
  • Evaluate data collected from processes and tests, maintain detailed records test and inspection.
  • Initial and follow up Corrective Action Request.
  • Non-conformities control and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in new project development. Complete PPAP submission per customer requirement.
  • Communication & coordination with all other departments and vendors.
  • Participate in second and third party audit.

Experience/Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years experience of quality control
  • Working experience in an ISO9001/TS16949 environment
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
  • Strong background in the technical aspects of quality like SPC, DOE, FMEA, Control Plan, GRR, etc.
  • Good knowledge of blue print and GD&T
  • Familiar with CMM and other measuring instrument
  • Tubing, stamping, powder painting, welding experience as an asset
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Solid communication skills
  • Great attitude toward improvements
  • Prepared to learn hands on
