LiqTech DPF Filters about to be shipped

The LiqTech DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) has a high soot load capacity, 10-18 gr/ltr. and the regeneration is not sensitive to maximum soot load and uneven distribution of soot.

The LiqTech DPF can easily resist temperatures higher than 1100°C.

Problems with cracks or local meltdown as well as ash sintering are not seen in the LiqTech DPF. The reason is the high heat capacity and thermal conductivity, which can be measured to be 40 W/mK at 60°C with 45% porosity and high service temperature (1600°C). During regeneration the energy released will be evenly distributed throughout the ceramic due to the high thermal conductivity, hence thermal stress are suppressed and a high durability is achieved.

Larger filters are segmented to avoid mechanical stress caused by thermal influence and are joined together with a flexible ceramic filter material.

The LiqTech DPF has relative large pores which allows bed filtration in combination with surface filtration.

LiqTech DPF 82252-3 Filter for OEM Customer

It is our experience that a filter with 45% porosity, 90 cpsi 2x2 mm cell with 0.8 mm wall you can achieve 50-100,000 km between cleaning. This is because of the high ash storage capacity and relatively large channels. A 150 cpsi with 0.4 mm wall can easily be supplied to achieve a minimum pressure drop over the filter, but it has shown to be less durable.

The LiqTech DPF is suitable for catalytic active coating.
