The Mining Diesel Emission Conference (MDEC) has published its final agenda. The agenda can be downloaded from the MDEC web page by following the links below.
The MDEC conference, to be held on November 15-16 in Markham, ON (Greater Toronto Area), has been recognized as the prime international forum to meet and exchange ideas on the reduction of diesel emissions in mines. For the last five years, the conference has attracted hundreds of delegates representing mine operators, labour, regulators, manufacturers, universities and research laboratories.
This year meeting features sessions on health studies and regulations, panel on in-use emissions and maintenance, in-mine testing and verification, particulate measurement, and emission control technologies. One session is devoted to the DEEP (Diesel Emissions Evaluation Program) consortium, the status of its research and plans for the future.
